Traditional Polish Gingerbread (Piernik) Baking at Waterford's Winterval

We are delighted to be returning to the Polish Village at Waterford's Winterval again this year between 13th November and 23rd December, bringing with us the wonderful aroma and flavours of traditional Polish Christmas! Join our family for live gingerbread baking on Friday afternoons, Saturdays and Sunday afternoons, and discover the magic of authentic Polish Piernik, lovingly prepared with honey and our secret blend of aromatic spices. There will also be opportunities for children and adults to join us for some hands-on gingerbread baking and decorating fun! This year, we are especially excited to bring back our signature piernik made with gluten-free and dairy-free ingredients as well healthier cookie options (spelt and rye dough), alongside our traditional favourites. Our gingerbread will be freshly baked on-site and beautifully decorated, making a delicious Christmas treat or a thoughtful festive gift. After all, what could be lovelier than a beautiful box or small snack bag of authentic, handmade Polish Piernik, filled with the warmth and flavours of Christmas?
